 2.   Terms of Use applicable to the use of the Ticket Restaurant Card, the Incentive Award Cars and the Compliments Card with Apple Pay

2.1   The registration and the use of the Edenred Pre-Paid Cards including, but not limited to, the Ticket Restaurant Card, the Incentive Award Card and the Compliments Card (together “Edenred Card(s)”) constitutes acceptance of these T&Cs. Please refer here for the Ticket Restaurant Card Terms, here for the Incentive Award Card and here for the Compliments Card terms.

2.2   In the event of dispute among the Cards T&Cs and these T&Cs, these T&Cs shall prevail.

2.3   Users may remove their Edenred Card(s) at any given time from the Service and the aforementioned T&Cs of the Edenred Cards remain applicable.

2.4   For any request for information regarding the use of Google Pay with the Edenred Cards, the User may contact:

  • By email to the following address: Enquiries-UK-CHR@edenred.com
  • Or by phone at +(44) 333 400 1799, Monday - Friday, 09:00-17:00.

2.5   For any request for information concerning Google Pay, the User must contact Google directly here.

2.6   The User expressly agrees to use the Edenred Cards only for his own purposes. The use of the Edenred Cards by any third party is strictly prohibited.

2.7   It is strongly recommended that the User informs himself regularly of any updates to these T&Cs and the Google Pay terms of use.

3.   Virtual Card (Token) in Google Pay application

3.1   Virtual Card (Token) enables payments, including contactless payments, using mobile devices e.g. the telephone. Virtual Card (Token) is connected with the Edenred Card which the user received from Edenred.

3.2   Virtual Card can be generated when the Edenred Card is valid and active. If the Edenred Card is blocked, cancelled or closed, Token transactions will not be possible.

 4.   Conditions for using Virtual Card (Token):

  • having a valid and active Edenred Card from Edenred,
  • User’s activation of the Edenred Card by calling +(44) 333 400 0018,
  • at activation providing the correct email address of the User, which is used in the process of generating Virtual Card,
  • installing Google Pay (Application),
  • meeting the requirements of Google Pay application regulations enabling non-cash transactions using mobile devices provided by third-party service providers,
  • having a mobile device which meets the software and service requirements for NFC communication needed for supporting the Google Pay App.

4.1    Virtual Card is created in the process of Edenred Card Tokenization. For one Edenred Card, only one unique Token can be generated per one device. If the Edenred Card is replaced, or if the device is replaced, Tokenization must be conducted again.

4.2   Virtual Card may be available on different devices on which the User uses the Application Google Pay– on the condition that a given Virtual Card is assigned to a particular device on which Tokenization of Edenred Card was conducted.

4.3   The User can delete the Virtual Card from his mobile device, any time. New Tokenization will require generating a new Token (new Virtual Card with a new number). Deleting of Virtual Card does not affect the status of the related Edenred Card.

4.4   Virtual Card can only be used for non-cash payments, including contactless payments, within the limits of the related Edenred Card, on the condition that:

  • for payments whose value does not exceed the limit set for contactless payments, payment authentication is made by bringing the device on which Virtual Card is installed close to POS Terminal,
  • for payments exceeding the limit set for contactless payments, authentication is made by entering the PIN of the Edenred Card,
  • irrespective of the above, it may be necessary to enter the PIN for a smaller payment – depending on the settings of POS Terminal.

4.5   Edenred shall not be responsible for payments made using the Virtual Card by a third party to which a mobile device with the installed Google Pay Application and Virtual Card was made available.

4.6   If the mobile device with the Virtual Card is stolen, the User must block the Edenred Card. This can be done by website or phone: +(44) 843 453 0206.

4.7   Edenred does not charge you for generating or adding the Edenred Card to the Google Pay Application. Charges for using a given Virtual Card are same as the charges for transactions made with their Edenred Cards.

5.   Security - Data Processing

5.1   The security rules applicable to the use of the Edenred Cards are as follows:

(i) block his Card as described in these T&Cs

In the absence of deletion of the Card in Google Pay, the Service remains available.

5.4   Edenred may process the Users’ personal data such as, but not limited to: the User’s first and last name and email address, for the purpose of providing the service. By agreeing to T&Cs of Use, the User agrees to the processing of personal data and agrees with Edenred’s privacy policy, which can be found here.

5.5   Users’ personal data may be forwarded to Edenred affiliates for the purpose of completing the provision of the service described in these T&Cs.
