Edenred supports Free School Meals in Covid-19 lockdown
Edenred’s Select platform powers support for children eligible for free school meals in the latest lockdown in England.
The Department for Education (DfE) has asked to Edenred to deliver the Free School Vouchers Scheme in England through the Winter lockdown.
The scheme successfully delivered £384m in Free School Meal Vouchers in the Spring 2020 lockdown and the through the summer.
Since the original launch, Edenred has expanded the network of retailers where parents and families can redeem Free School Meal Vouchers to include a total of eleven, offering them further choice of where they shop.
Colin Hodgson, sales director Edenred and commercial lead for the DfE, said:
“We’re pleased to be able to help the DfE get vital support to families through this winter lockdown.
The investment we have made in the Select platform in the last year means that we can ensure that every family gets the support it needs through the scheme from the day it goes live.”
