In the 20 years we've been delivering employee benefits to the UK public sector, Edenred has worked with over 900 public sector clients and provided benefits to over 1.3m employees.
Through this experience we’ve seen many changes. As HR strategies have evolved and employee value propositions have developed, so too have our solutions. We’ve transitioned from childcare vouchers and recognition schemes to an employee engagement platform provider – providing a wide range of solutions that help public sector organisations build engagement with employees, retain talent, and motivate teams.
The way that organisations use our products has evolved too. Most recently to provide financial wellbeing support for employees and keep them engaged considering the rising cost of living crisis. In our Edenred 2023 People Barometer, HR leaders across the public and private sectors told us that the cost of living will have the biggest impact on employee performance this year.
From speaking to clients in government, local authorities, schools and elsewhere, we’re also acutely aware of issues with increasing workloads and recruitment and retention amid a national skills shortage.
For these reasons, we are currently focussed on working with all our public sector clients to help them make the most of our employee engagement platform and provide extra financial support to their employees.
