Our responsibility to support charities

We support numerous charities at both a local and a global level, especially focusing on child welfare. As part of our commitment we encourage our employees to take part in charitable events and donate to charities of their own choice.

Edenred offers the option of payroll giving, which is a scheme that helps engage our employees in charitable activities. This allows them to select their own charity and donate money from their salary in a tax efficient way – which the company then matches. We have been awarded a Silver Award since 2015 for this scheme, which is a symbol of excellence funded and recognised by HM Government; this quality mark is awarded to employers that have succeeded in generating sustainable income sources for UK charities through payroll giving.”

We’re also committed to working with like-minded companies that take their role in the community seriously. In the UK, we make a contribution for every Eyecare Voucher we sell to the Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB)

As part of Edenreds' 20th anniversary celebrations of its introduction of childcare vouchers to UK workplaces Edenred partnered with Action for Children. This partnership has continued over the years  with staff regularly taking part in fund raising activities, such as dress downs, cakes bakes and pub quizzes.

Edenred is also supports the local Food Banks in Westminster and Cheshire which are run by the Trussell Trust. Each month one department takes a turn at collecting food and toiletries which are then taken to the Food Bank for distribution. In 2018 Edenred donated approximately 638 kilograms of food. This has helped to support many families by providing three days’ worth of emergency food and daily essentials to those in crisis. We will continue to support this project throughout 2019.
