Edenred UK awarded pan-government Crown Commercial Service Employee Benefits framework

Edenred UK has again been named as the sole managed service provider of Crown Commercial Service’s (CCS) Employee Benefits framework RM6133. The Employee Benefits framework can be used by the whole public sector including arm’s length bodies, local authorities, health, police, fire and rescue, education and devolved administration organisations to implement a comprehensive employee benefits and recognition platform, delivered by Edenred.

The new agreement adds to the range of services available under the previous Employee Services framework (RM3704) and now covers employee discounts, childcare vouchers, cycle to work, gym memberships, financial wellbeing, low emission cars, smartphone and consumer technology, payroll giving and recognition.

It is intended that this agreement, building on the success of the previous framework, will become the model used by central government departments, delivering consistency in the employee benefits and rewards available to over 420,000 civil servants in the UK and overseas in addition to wider public sector employees.

The benefits and reward solutions will be offered through a bespoke Edenred online platform developed especially for Crown Commercial Service which will allow each department to include additional benefits, personalising their employee value proposition.

Employees are also able to choose and personalise the employee benefits they receive through the platform.

Colin Hodgson, sales director at Edenred UK said:

“To be named the sole supplier of employee benefits and reward solutions on this CCS framework for a second time is a fantastic result for Edenred. It demonstrates how effectively our employee benefits and reward solutions, delivered through our industry-leading platform, meet the needs of the public sector and its employees.

Under the original agreement, we worked tirelessly alongside the authorities to drive employee engagement, increasing adoption and benefit take-up.

We’re really pleased that in the lifetime of the last agreement, the creation of the framework contributed to a cost avoidance of £2,280,000 for Government by mitigating the need for prevailing procurement exercises, whilst also delivering public sector customers forecast commercial savings of over £2.5m in 2019 / 2020.

This goes to show the value and effectiveness of our employee benefits, reward and recognition proposition for the public sector and we’re excited about the potential for the next three years!”

Crown Commercial Service is an Executive Agency of the Cabinet Office, supporting the public sector to achieve maximum commercial value when procuring common goods and services. It supports the public sector to achieve maximum commercial value when procuring common goods and services.
