Edenred in Action – Pitney Bowes Case Study


Pitney Bowes is a leading provider of customer communication technologies, and the number one franking machines supplier in the world. 


It puts much of its success down to its great people and as a result Pitney Bowes has put a strategy in place to share their ongoing success with both past and present employees.

As part of this strategy Pitney Bowes sends a Christmas gift to around 1,000 individuals who have now retired.

In 2005, Pitney Bowes partnered with Edenred who now organise all of their Christmas retirement gifts.

Alex Alma, PA to the Vice President International Human Resources at Pitney Bowes, says, “In the past we sent a Christmas hamper to everyone who had retired. But over time and as the number of pensioners increased we realised not everyone valued the hamper. It was also extremely time consuming to organise.

“Whilst it is important to give everyone the same gift this needs to be something that everyone appreciates. Since partnering with Edenred we have started sending £20-worth of Marks & Spencer vouchers to everyone. The process has become much more simple and efficient - we simply provide a list of our past employees and then Edenred do everything else for us.”
