Lead the way with ‘green’ rewards and benefits
Compliments Green is the UK's first fully integrated ethical incentives and reward solution and the newest addition to Capital Incentives & Motivation’s Compliments Card reward portfolio.
"It's the ideal reward and incentive solution for companies looking to enhance or create their CSR strategy and will appeal to any organisation that recognises the positive impact CSR can have on both the employee and customer facing brands of an organisation, particularly those in the public and private sectors that have achieved the ISO 14001 environmental standard," says Derrick Hardman, managing director of Capital Incentives & Motivation.
Compliments Green is a highly flexible incentive e-voucher that enables employers to make incentive payments to employees or third parties. Reward recipients receive a branded customised e-voucher that can be redeemed online at Green Rewards, an existing online store that specialises in over 800 environmentally friendly products and services. Reward points can be spent on fair-trade jewellery, children’s toys or carbon offsets, for example.
The solution is brought to you in partnership with Green Rewards, experts in the online provision of ethical and sustainable products. Every product in the Green Shop has been rigorously vetted by an independent Sustainability Advisory Panel that includes some of the UK’s leading figures, covering carbon footprinting, ethical fashion, recycling and fair trade.
This new 'green' solution can be used as part of an existing incentive programme or as part of a completely new reward and recognition initiative. Once the end-user has an ‘eco account’ they can continue to spend their own money on ethical products, thereby encouraging long-term environmental behaviour change among employees.
The growing trend towards green rewards
The growing significance of green rewards is confirmed by recent Accor Services research to uncover employers' position on incentivising and rewarding green behaviour. 68% of those questioned stated their company encouraged and promoted green behaviours, whilst only 4.6% already incentivised and rewarded such. A further 22% were considering recognising sustainable practices.
Alongside this, almost half of job seekers say they are more likely to join or stay with a company that addresses social issues and 23% of those who think their organisations is environmentally aware have an increasing sense of motivation to make their company succeed (Ipsos MORI, 2008).
"As with all our reward solutions, our incentives and motivation experts can work with clients to help develop the incentive and reward programme, and design and implement a communication programme to help maximise the success of a green rewards scheme," says Capital Incentives’ Derrick Hardman.
"And as increasing attention is paid to the voluntary action companies take as part of their CSR strategies to manage their economic, social and environmental impacts and contributions to wider society, the trend towards embracing and encouraging 'green' rewards and benefits is set to continue," he adds.
